Serie A side Lazio in advanced talks to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea

Maurizio Sarri's Lazio is making significant strides in their pursuit of Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea, with negotiations progressing well, as reported by reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Daily Mail had earlier indicated that the 22-year-old is likely to leave Stamford Bridge this summer. Chelsea has set a valuation of £10 million for the talented forward, making him an attractive prospect for potential suitors.

Crystal Palace had also expressed interest in Hudson-Odoi, as Fulham was in the race to secure his services, but their initial bid was rejected by Chelsea, according to The Guardian.

Despite competition from other clubs, Lazio has emerged as the frontrunner in the pursuit of Hudson-Odoi.

Romano confirms that the Italian side is currently engaged in advanced talks with Chelsea to secure the young forward's signature. Moreover, it appears that Hudson-Odoi himself considers Lazio to be an appealing option at this stage of his career.

Last season, the Chelsea academy graduate faced challenges while on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, managing to score only one goal in 21 appearances.

A move to Lazio could provide him with a fresh start and the opportunity to reignite his promising potential.

As per Romano's latest information, any potential transfer of Hudson-Odoi will be a permanent move, considering that he has only one year remaining on his contract with Chelsea.

Despite having represented England three times at the international level, it is worth noting that Hudson-Odoi remains eligible to play for Ghana as well.
