Serie A TIM NAPOLI: RAUL ALBIOL RENEWS CONTRACT
SSC Napoli has officially renewed Raul Albiol’s contract until June 2021.
Albiol has played for Napoli for five seasons. His player details are as follows:
Raul Albiol was born in Vilamarxant, in Spain, on 4 September 1985.
He arrived in Naples in 2013, making his debut on 25 August 2013, a 3-0 win against Bologna. He has made 210 appearances with Napoli, and is 36th all-time in the list of appearances for the club: 160 in Serie A, 38 in Europe, 11 in the Coppa Italia and one in the Italian Super Cup. He has scored five goals, all coming in the league.
In the past, Albiol has played for Valencia, Getafe and Real Madrid, making 49 appearances and scoring five goals in Spain’s Segunda Division, and 229 appearances and seven goals in the Liga. He also racked up 31 appearances and two goals in the Coppa del Re and three in the Spanish Super Cup. He made 55 appearances (2 goals) in Europe with Valencia and Real Madrid. After seven caps at U19, four at U20 and eight at U21, he can boast of 51 caps for the Spanish national team.
He has won two league titles in Spain, one with Valencia and one with Real Madrid, two Spanish Cups and one Spanish Super Cup. He has also won one UEFA Cup and of European Super Cup with Valencia in 2004.With the national team he won the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, and two European Championships, in 2008 and 2012.
