Owner and bankroller of Hasacass Ladies, Evelyn Nsiah Asare has admitted that serving as a Board Member of Asante Kotoko was not easy.

The football administrator was part of the Dr Kwame Kyei-led 12-member board of directors which has been dissolved following the expiration of their three-year mandate.

“It was an experience. It was good, it was not easy because…23 years experience in the women’s game, three years in the men’s game, there was a bit [of] difference but I think it was good," she told Citi Sports in an interview.

"I have served, I am done and I thank Manhyia so much. I thank Opemsuor (Otumfuo Osei Tutu II) for giving me this opportunity. It was an honour done me and I believe I did it to the perfection of what they wanted from me and I wish them well," she added.

Meanwhile, an Interim Management Committee (IMC) has since been appointed with Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi named as Administrative Manager and former Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah named as the club’s Technical Director.

Prosper Narteh Ogum has been named the head coach as well.

Asante Kotoko takes on newly promoted side Kpando Hearts of Lions in the opening game of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League which get underway in September.
