Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross has expressed his happiness at the arrival of Kurt Zouma to the Bet365 Stadium.
City have been relatively quiet in the transfer market so far but they have certainly completed a major coup with the signing of Kurt Zouma from Chelsea on a season long loan deal, especially aftere having missed out on Bruno Martins Indi.
Zouma will surely strengthen the Stoke backline and club skipper Ryan Shawcross has said he is looking forward to play alongside the talented young Frenchman.
"He's going to help the squad out and I am sure he will prove to be a very good acquisition," Shawcross told the media following Saturday's 1-0 win over Amiens.
"I spoke to Asmir (Begovic) about Kurt and he said that he's a really good character to have around the place and he's also a very talented player.
"There is plenty of competition now for places at the back, which is good, so it is down to the manager to select the two he feels are best suited."
