Shirt Sales Statistic Proves That CR7 Is Still the Fans' Favourite at Real Madrid

Real Madrid are one of the most successful and widely-recognised football clubs in the world, and their latest revenue stats alsohas them pegged as the highest earners in world football.


Shirt sales obviously have a lot to do with that, and according to Spanish publicationMarca, one man in particularis responsible for 40 per cent of the club's income in that regard... and there are absolutely no prizes for guessing which player that is.

The Portuguese forward has been the face of Los Blancos ever since his high-profile arrival in 2009, and has led them to much success, especially on the European stage. His goals are worth their weight in gold, but so too is his name, as he accounts for four in every 10 named Real shirts sold.


Ronaldo recently extended his contract to 2021, signing a record deal worth€250m.

The Asian market is said to be a major contributor to his shirt sales, and it is expected that sales will grow even more, given the new contract situation.


Colombian attacker James Rodriguez is the second mostsought-after name at the club, with the majority of hissales coming from Latin America.
