Sky Sports News Presenter & Chris Coleman's Wife Rules Him Out of Contention for Vacant Swansea Post

Chris Coleman has been touted as one of the leading contenders to take up the recently-abandoned post of Swansea City manager, but his wife has since taken to Twitter and dismissed the rumours.

Bob Bradley was sacked on December 27, the day after Swansea were roasted 4-1 at the Liberty Stadium by West Ham, and assistant manager Alan Curtis is only expected to take over temporarily.

The mumbles are lovely but my husband has said publically after Wales we would hopefully move abroad - but good luck to Swansea ! https://t.co/MZoa5kcC9d

Coleman's current role sees him take charge of the Wales national team, so obviously it would not be much of a stretch to link him with Swansea. However, his wife Charlotte (a Sky Sports presenter) has ended the speculation by stating that he will not take over the reigns.

It is not just Coleman in the picture. Harry Redknapp recently entered the frame as a possible candidate to keep the Swans afloat, making his desire to use John Terry there clear. Former Manchester United star Ryan Giggs is another who has been suggested.

Swansea lie stranded at nineteenth in the Premier League, level on points with bottom-placed Hull and cut off from the relegation zone by four points. Whoever comes into the role has a mammoth task ahead of them to keep Swansea up this season.

Just a shame it won't be Chris and the misses.

Charlotte Coleman expects the family to move abroad after Chris leaves his Wales post, and hinted that the manager may end up on the New Year Honours List.
