Skyy FC beat Sekondi Hasaacas in regional derby

Ebenezer Edukwaw and Suleman Abubakar were on target for Skyy FC as they defeated their regional neighbors Sekondi Hasaacas by two goals to one at the Daboase Park in a Ghana  National Division One game on Thursday

After picking a draw against Samartex FC at away, Skyy FC were so optimistic to pick a win against struggling Sekondi Hasaacas who also drew against Gold Stars at home.

Sekondi Hasaacas opened the scoring in the 20th minutes with a goal from Edmund Ampofo who nodded home a   Philip Flamini’s strike.

The Daboase based club started dominating and creating numerous chances all in search for the equaliser but none was enough to beat John Arthur Kasillas.

Skyy FC had a free kick around the 18 yard box of the visitors, which was effected by Theophilus Nana Awortwe, his strike hit the bar and Suleman Abubakar scored from the resulting rebound to hand Skyy FC The much awaited equaliser.

Skyy FC continued from where they left off before recess with their dominant ball-possession.  They were awarded a penalty after their striker Suleman Abubakar was fouled in the 18 yard box and Ebenezer Adukwaw calmly converted from the spot in the 63rd minutes to hand Skyy FC the winner.

Sekondi Hasaacas also had a penalty call denied by the center referee in the dying embers of the game.
