Skyy FC owner Wilson Arthur considering quitting football over unfair treatment by referees

Wilson Arthur, the owner of Skyy FC, has announced that he is considering quitting football, citing the lack of honesty exhibited by referees towards his team.

Arthur revealed that his decision stems from the alleged dishonest conduct of approximately eight referees during their recent matches.

Speaking out against what he perceives as unfair treatment, Arthur highlighted a string of contentious decisions that seemingly favored their opponents, leading him to seriously contemplate leaving the club football scene.

The MTN FA Cup Committee chairman claims this season alone eight referees have officiated games involving his club and it didn't go their way.

He is therefore considering stopping investing in football so he can save his finances and not be cheated.

“I’m unable to make investments or start club football again because I will undoubtedly be cheated in the end. Other people like Tony Yeboah and Kessben have experienced this, and they both quit due to the referees’ deceit," he told Akoma FM.

“I’ve realized that funding club football will not benefit me going forward, rather, it feels like I’m not welcome there, so I need to find something else to do.”
