Wilson Arthur, the owner of Division One League (DOL) side Skyy FC and chairman of the FA Cup committee has recently clarified his statements regarding his potential departure from Ghana football.

In an interview with Peace FM, monitored by Footballghana.com, Arthur explained that he has no intention of completely abandoning Ghana football, but rather, he is considering stepping back from club management.

Arthur emphasized his deep-rooted connection to Ghana football, having held various roles in the past, including the chairman of Sekondi Eleven Wise and the vice-chairman of Dwarfs. He also played a significant role in securing sponsorships for Kotoko through MTN and for the GN Bank Division One League.

The Skyy FC owner expressed his dedication to his current club, stating that he has put his all into managing the club and ensuring its success. However, he mentioned that if the current trends in club football do not align with his vision, he might reconsider his involvement in club management.

"Ghana football for someone like me there is no way I will quit Ghana football this is because there are a lot of roles one can play. I have been chairman of Sekondi Eleven Wise before it reach a point I had to leave for someone to continue, I have been vice chairman of Dwarfs before, I have helped Kotoko get sponsorship with MTN their last sponsorship I did it, GN Bank Division One League sponsorship Ghana football got I did it so I have played various roles," he said.

"And I have created a club called Skyy FC I have managed the club in Division One that is a job I am doing. It is the club management that I am saying if you genuinely want to invest I am someone who has studied coaching, club management I am someone who likes to learn so I just not do things anyhow I put my all in everything. I go to pre matches, watch matches away matches and all that I know the work and I want to do it well so if you see a trend going on and that will not help you God has given you the ability to review the life you are living. You can review and say I don't want to do this anymore that is what I am saying.

"We all know Kessben had a team he stopped, Tony Yeboah too so I won't be the first Ghanaian that is doing club football because some things I have seen and some experiences now I can decide I won't do club football. I can assure you that if I stop club football I will still fight to improve the way things are going because things have to get better. Because last season was better the officiating I experienced was much much better than officiating experiencing this season,"
