West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic was looking at the positives in his side's 3-2 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, where Harry Kane scored two late goals to help Spurs overcome the Hammers in what was an entertaining game.

The Hammers started the season in terrible form, but since have picked up points and sit just outside the relegation zone, but despite the defeat against Spurs - Bilic stated thathis side played some good football:

"We were not only fighting, but we also played some good football. We started really well and were better in the first 30 minutes."

Looking in hindsight Bilic knew his side should have attempted to kill the game off with the third goal and it came back to haunt them, stating:"After we scored the second goal, we played really good and we should have killed the game off with a third one."

Winston Reid got a late sending off after receiving two yellow cards, he'll miss the clash against Manchester United next Sunday and his manager was very disappointed with the sending-off:

"Losing Winston Reid is a big blow for us because he was exceptional tonight. He was sent-off for a foul, I think."

The Croatian looked at the positives and surely if they play like they did in the 80 minutes they'll easily survive the drop, and Bilic knows points are crucial with a tough fixture list approaching:

"We showed that we can play really good, no matter who we are playing against. We have a tough schedule, but there were positives."

The Hammers play Manchester United in the league on Sunday, then face them in midweek for a League Cup clash. They then play Arsenal and Liverpool just before a hectic Christmas period.

The East London side do have aslightly easier festive period, facing: Hull City, Burnley, Swansea City and Leicester City, so Irons fans can expect to pick up some festive points over this period.
