According to information available with footballghana.com, Burkinabe striker Sogne Yacouba is ready to lower his demands to ensure a contract extension with Asante Kotoko becomes possible.

The forward is on the verge of leaving the club as a free agent with less than a week remaining on his current contract which is understood to end at the end of February 2020.

Initially, contract talks were started between the management of Asante Kotoko and the player but it had to be abandoned after he demanded a monthly salary of $150,000.

In the latest development, Ashanti Regional Circles Public Relations Officer (PRO), Osei-Asibey has revealed that the leadership of the club has held talks with Sogne Yacouba.

According to him, the poster boy of the Porcupine Warriors has accepted to lower his demands to ensure he gets to stay in Kumasi.

“National Circles Council has met Songne Yacouba and his reps and the player is ready to play, and has come down on their demands so we are waiting to hear from management on that. He is the supporters favorite and we need him,” he told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
