Manama: Bahrain national team coach Miroslav Soukup has announced the list of 28 players who will start their preparations for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019.
The Bahrain Football Association (BFA) has set two friendly matches for the national team this month.
The first will b against Tajikistan on December 20, and the second against DPR Korea on December 29. Both matches will be played in Bahrain.
At UAE 2019, Bahrain are in Group A along with hosts the United Arab Emirates, India and Thailand. Bahrain’s first match will be against the UAE on January 5.
The players who are all coming from local clubs include Jassim Al Shaikh, Mahdi Hemaidan (Al Ahli), Ahmed Bu Ghammar, Ahmed Merza (Al Hidd), Ali Haram, Abdulkareem Al Fardan, Hamad Shamsan, Kumail Al Aswad, Sayed Redha Isa, Mohammed Marhoon, Mahdi Abduljabbar (Riffa), Mohammed Duaij, Sami Al Hussaini (East Riffa), Ali Madan, Sayed Shubbar Alawi, Ahmed Abdulla, Ibrahim Habeeb (Al Najma), Yousif Habeeb (Malkiya), Waleed Al Hayyam, Jamal Rashid, Ahmed Juma, Abdulwahab Ali (Muharraq), Ashraf Waheed, Mohammed Al Romaihi (Manama), Mohammed Al Hardan (FC Sfintul in Moldova), Sayed Mahdi Baqer, Sayed Dheya Saeed (Al Nasr of Kuwait), Abdulla Yousif (Bohemians 1905 in Czech Republic).
