Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse was quick to shift his focus from the Saints 0-0 draw with Manchester United towards Sunday.

Manolo Gabbiadini's penalty in the second half was saved by Sergio Romero, capping off an unlucky night that saw Southampton attempt 17 shots without cracking the United goal.

However, Ward-Prowse kept a positive frame of mind after the match, and ensured his side will be focused on their last game of the season against Stoke on Sunday.

"I think we did well defensively tonight," he started.

"We limited them to very few chances, but I think we come off the pitch feeling disappointed not to win that game.

"It was a game that we knew a win would help us secure 8th place, but unfortunately we haven't done that tonight and we go again on Sunday."
