Middlesbrough midfielder Marten de Roon is attracting rival Premier League interest.
The Dutchman arrived in the summer from Atalanta for £12 million and has been impressive in a struggling Boro team.
The People says Southampton, Bournemouth and Watford are all monitoring De Roon's form leading up to the summer market.
All indications are if Boro go down, De Roon won't be following them.
After Manchester United's win on Teesside earlier this year, manager Jose Mourinho singled out the midfielder for praise.
"This kid De Roon is phenomenal, his work-rate is phenomenal, they're solid and they play direct. We had to fight it, and I have to admit it was hard for us," said the Portuguese.
