Spanish Segunda B side Deportivo Badajoz have completed the signing of Ghanaian youngster Sumaila Abanga, according to GHANASoccernet.com.

Badajoz has penned a season-long loan deal with the second tier side despite being linked with several clubs in Ghana and Europe.

He arrived in the Spanish town of Extremadura a few days ago following his impressive contribution to Ghana Under 20 team and Division Two side Benab FC.

The teen prodigy's opportunity is one of the bright spots of the Alhaji Beana owned BenabFC after he entrusted the leadership of the club into the hands of Sterling Sports Africa’s SakibuNuhu in September 2020.

Speaking at the signing of the partnership deal with Benab FC in 2020, CEO of Sterling Sports Africa management, Nuhu Sakibu assured that the primary objective of the deal is to stabilize Benab FC as a club at the division before anything else followed.

"We are a small club and will like to remain so. The primary objective is to develop players for the international market, whiles helping them to build their careers," he said.

President and bankroller of Benab FC Alhaji Beana affirmed his hopes on Sterling Sports Management to transform the club and make it a force to be reckoned with.
