Spanish side Leganes stands to benefit from any future move of Thomas Partey should he complete a transfer from Atletico Madrid.
This is because the club currently owns 10% of the Ghanaian midfield enforcer’s transfer rights. At first, it used to be 50% until the Madrid-based club decided to buy 40% of the shares for 6 Million Euros back in 2017.
With the arrangement between the two teams, Leganes will still earn a part of the transfer fee that will be paid by any club to Atletico Madrid for the sale of in-demand Thomas Partey.
The midfielder continues to excel every season and is reportedly a transfer target of a host of clubs in Europe including Manchester United, Arsenal, as well as PSG.
Should he move next summer, Leganes will cash in their share as they deserve.
