Spurs forward Son Heung-min has expressed his determinationto get back to the top of his game having played through injury in recent weeks.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man hasn't been able to keep up the fantastic form that saw him named Premier League player of the month in September.

But he has targeted the international break as a chance to return to that form and to end a run of seven games without a goal.

"It's true that I've struggled after winning the award because of an ankle injury," Son told reporters before thenational team's training at Seoul World Cup Stadium on Tuesday, viathe Daily Mail.

"But it's not just me; the whole team is having a difficult time. With the national team, your strong mindset matters more than your form. I came here to win."

Son's goalless run for Tottenham has coincided with a seven gamewinless run for the club, but he is currentlyfully focused on the international fixtures.

The Uzbekistan clash is an important one, with South Korea currently in third place, two points behind their upcoming opponents.

"We know the importance of the match (against Uzbekistan)," he said. "Uzbekistan are a good team and that's why they are in the second place.

"There are no easy opponents in the final round, so we'll have a difficult game against Uzbekistan.

"We know we can take better position with a win, so we will prepare thoroughly."

Son has scored four goals for Spurs in the Premier League so far this season from eight appearances.
