Spurs Star Harry Kane Named Premier League Player of the Month for February

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been named Premier League Player of the Month for February following a remarkable run of individual form.

Spurs played three league games in February, with Kane scoring the winner in a slender victory against Middlesbrough at the start of the month and later a superb hat-trick against Stoke.

The 23-year-old also bagged an assist in that 4-0 win over the Potters, and even though it strictly doesn't count as it came in a separate competition, he scored another hat-trick in a potentially tricky FA Cup London derby against Fulham during the month as well.

It is the fourth such Player of the Month award of Kane's young career to date and he beat off competition from Manchester City pair Gabriel Jesus and David Silva, as well as West Brom defender Gareth McAuley to win it.

"It's a great honour. I'm in good form at the minute, I feel confident going into every match," he told PremierLeague.com upon receiving the accolade.

Data courtesy of EA SPORTS can reveal that Kane was in the Premier League's top four players or better for goals (4), shots on target (5), shooting accuracy (55.6%), goals to shots ratio (44.4%) and minutes per goal (66) to show how good he's been in front of goal of late..

Kane is on course to potentially win a second successive Premier League Golden Boot this season after finishing as top scorer last season - the first Englishman to do so since Kevin Phillips for Sunderland 16 years earlier.

It would be an achievement made even more remarkable given he missed two months of action through injury earlier in the campaign.

Premier League football will take a backseat this weekend, though, as Kane and Spurs are instead set to face League One Millwall with a place in the FA Cup semi-finals at stake.
