The Sporting Director at Stade Rennais FC, Florian Maurice has backed Ghana teenager Kamaldeen Sulemana to continue his development while in France to become a top player.

Last week, the highly-rated teenager joined the French Ligue 1 outfit from Danish Superliga side FC Nordsjaelland.

Aware of the talent of the 19-year-old, Florian Maurice says he has no doubt the player will improve.

“He is interesting because of his speed, his technique and his one-on-one. He can develop in several positions and that is also part of the reason we have bought him,” the Rennais director said as quoted on the club’s website.

He added, “We are looking for players who can quickly make a difference for the team. Of course, Kamaldeen needs time to fall for, though someone might early expect miracles with that price tag. Such is the game, and now it is up to the coach to get the best out of him, the sports director explains during the presentation.”

Prior to joining Rennais, Kamaldeen Sulemana was chased by top European clubs including Manchester United and Ajax.
