Sulley Muntari, Kevin Prince Boateng unlikely to return under Kwesi Appiah

Published on: 04 April 2017

Ghana midfielders Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng are not likely to play for the Black Stars anytime soon following the appointment of Kwesi Appiah as coach.

The two players were suspended from the Black Stars after their various acts of indiscipline at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil when Appiah was in charge of the team.

While Muntari has apologised for his misconduct, Boateng has stated his desire for his return but has not apologised.

But with the appointment of Appiah, their chances of staging a comeback to the team looks bleak.

Boateng is currently with Spanish La Liga side Las Palmas whiles Muntari plays for Italian Serie A side Pescara.
