Sunderland dealt another blow as Klinsmann stops manager talk

Published on: 28 June 2017

Sunderland have been dealt yet another blow in their hunt for a new manager.

Since David Moyes left the post last month, the Black Cats have failed in bids to sign Derek McInnes, Nigel Pearson, Garry Monk and Chris Wilder to the vacant role.

And now, former USA manager Jurgen Klinsmann has ruled himself out of the running.

In a post on his Facebook account, Klinsmann wrote: "Had a blast last night at STYX concert at the beautiful Greek Theatre in L.A. What a fantastic venue!

"On another front: no truth on rumours coaching Sunderland FC in the near future."
