South African side Super Sports United are set to sign Ghana defender Richard Kissi Boateng.

The veteran defender is a free agent having terminated his contract with Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals.

The former T.P Mezembe player is expected to arrive in South Africa to sign  a deal with the ABSA premier League side.

SuperSport United Coach Eric Tinkler sees the Ghanaian as a perfect replacement for injured duo Onismor Bhasera and Thato Mokeke who have all been sidelined with a hip injury and bone fracture respectively.

Meanwhile, Kissi Boateng will become the second foreigner at the club following the signing of Nigerian Azubuike Egwuekwe.

The left back has enormous wealth of experience having played for Congolese giants T.P Mezzembe and featured for Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015, South Africa.
