Swansea Boss Bradley Left Ruing Late Everton Leveller in 1-1 Draw at Goodison

Published on: 19 November 2016

Bob Bradley has admitted that his Swansea stars were left "angry and disappointed" after letting their lead against Everton slip in their 1-1 draw with the Toffees.

Gylfi Sigurdsson's first half penalty had appeared to secure a vital victory for the Swans, but Bradley was denied his first win in charge when Seamus Coleman's looping header levelled the scores in the 89th minute.

The American told Swansea's official site that the late equaliser that broken his side's hearts, and revealed the emotions that everyone at the club was feeling in the dressing room after the game.

He said: We have a bunch of guys who are angry and disappointed, and that's how you should be when you lose out on a win like that.

But we will also be able to find some positive things in there, and the work to turn things round will continue. There's no other way.

For me this was encouraging, but at the same time you have to know how to see games out. We didn't do enough to clear the ball and when you let it stay around in the box, you are usually going to end up paying the price.

Coleman's intervention ensured that Bradley has now gone five matches without winning a game since he took charge on October 3 and, despite seeing numerous positives on an afternoon where the away outfit were arguably the better side, he added that it was going to be a long slog to haul Swansea away from the relegation zone.

He added: There are some positives, but after 12 matches of the season and when you put yourselves in the position we are in, there's got to be a clear understanding that the road ahead is going to be a hard one and a long one.

But it's one we can handle. You don't restore belief in one week. You have got to follow one good half with another, one good performance with another. There's still belief in our dressing room. There are still players coming into training every week knowing that we can do it if we go about things the right way.
