The manager for Swansea City, Steve Cooper is confident his talisman Andre Ayew will be in good shape by the time the English Championship playoffs start next month.

The Ghana international has been the main man for the Swans in the 2020/2021 football season.

Recently, he suffered an injury setback when he had to come off after eight minutes during the game against Wycombe Wanderers.

Although Ayew recovered to play a part in the game against Reading last weekend, there are concerns as to whether he will be hundred percent fit for the upcoming playoffs.

According to Swansea boss Steve Cooper, fans can be rest assured that the forward will be ready for the playoffs.

“It’s nothing too serious and he [Ayew] won’t be in doubt for the play-off games,” the manager told the BBC in an interview.

Coach Cooper continued, “There are a few others who have been nursing overuse injuries and wear and tear if you like - there just hasn’t been any let-up. It’s been heavy.

“Don’t get me wrong, we’re not working for the NHS or digging up roads. It’s not the worst life in the world, but in our domain it’s been a really, really heavy schedule.”

In the playoffs, Swansea City will compete with the likes of Bournemouth, Brentford, and Barnsley to fight for the last spot to gain promotion to the English Premier League.
