Swansea City vice-captain, Andre Ayew has hailed Rhian Brewster’s impact since joining the club hopes the in-form striker can fire Swans to the Premier League.

Brewster joined the Swans on loan from Liverpool in January and has enjoyed a fine loan spell in SA1.

The 20-year-old’s stunning strike against Reading in midweek was his 10th goal in 20 appearances for the Swans, and he is set to lead the line against when Brentford visit the Liberty Stadium on Sunday for the first leg of the Championship play-off semi-final.

Ayew is better placed than most to assess Brewster’s attributes, with the forward having played Champions League football with Marseille and been to the quarter-finals of a World Cup with Ghana.

And according to the Ghana international, he has been impressed by the way Brewster has wasted no time in making his presence felt.

“Rhian has everything to play for. He has goals, he has speed, and he has power," he told club official.

“He is still young, and he has a few things to learn and improve on, but when we are talking about a pure finisher and talent in front of the goal, he has it all.

“He has everything a striker needs to get, and that is very important.

“When you are 19 or 20, and you see the season he has had. If he continues to work hard, he is going to be a top, top player.

He continued, "The fact he’s playing games every three days is teaching him a lot.

"He’s learning to cope with it and playing week in, week out, which isn’t easy as the Championship is hard. He’s coped with it really well.

"Like every player, he’s had ups and downs, but he’s scoring goals and playing well.

"I’m happy for him. He has big ambitions and I pray for him to be able to get this club up by his goals."
