Swedish side Helsingborg IF set to part ways with Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Abubakari

Swedish side Helsingborg IF are set to release Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Abubakari after a two-year stint at the club.

Abubakar's contract will expire later this month and is expected to play his last game for the club this weekend against IFK Norrkoeping as the 2020 Swedish Allsvenskan season comes to a close.

The 34-year-old joined Helsingborg from BK Hacken in 2018 and became the first choice central midfielder of the club making a total of 77 appearances, scoring four goals and providing three assists in the process.

He was the first player WAFA (Feyenoord Ghana) transferred abroad when he moved to Feyenoord Rotterdam in the summer of 2005.

He has since featured for several clubs in Greece including Doxa, PAOK, and AE Larissa.
