Talensi Traditional Area Overlord cuts sod for the second phase of Winkogo project

In a pivotal ceremony, Talensi Traditional Area's Overlord, Raana Naab Kugbil Namaltang, has taken a significant step toward progress as he ceremonially initiates the second phase of the Winkogo project.

The Overlord has named the project after Ghana Football Association boss Kurt Okraku. The football facility is now called Kurt Okraku Winkogo Technical Centre. It is located in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region.

President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku and Vice President Mark Addo attended the commissioning of the first phase with Tongo-Raana Naab, who was a special visitor.

Alhaji Salifu Zida, the chairman of the Upper East Regional Football Association, George Amoako, Nana Sarfo Oduro, Habiba Atta Forson, Kingsley Osei Bonsu, Linford Asamoah Boadu, and Samuel Anim Addo were also in attendance.

The Upper East Regional Football Association's headquarters, locker rooms, spectator stands, and a FIFA-standard artificial football field capable of hosting all events, including elite domestic championships, are anticipated to be situated in the second phase.
