Ghanaian international Tariq Lamptey will have no part to play for Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend when the team takes on Leicester City in the English Premier League.

The youngster since suffering a hamstring injury in December 2020 has not quite managed to regain his full fitness.

In the past week there has been some bit of a positivity with regards to the possibility of getting the chance to return to the grass.

Ahead of the game against Leicester City on Saturday, his manager Graham Potter has revealed that there has been another injury setback.

As a result, Tariq Lamptey has been ruled out of the upcoming match in the English Premier League.

“Tariq won't be fit, he had a little setback this week and we need to get to the bottom of that.

"It's a problem with his hamstring. He's seeing a specialist and he's not available for the weekend,” Graham Potter said in a pre-match interview on Thursday.

The gaffer hopes Tariq Lamptey is able to recover as soon as possible to have him back in his squad.
