This is the first time the 27-year-old has ever provided two assists in a game in his professional career.

The on-loan Brentford attacker was deployed in a central midfield role other than his familiar attacking roles or a wing back.

Tariqe set up Ollie Rathbone for the opening goal in the 19th minute before teeing up Shane Ferguson for the second 56 minutes in.

The visitors then pulled one back through Joe Gelhardt for the consolation.

Tariqe Fosu has now featured in 6 games for Rotherham, providing two assists after joining them on loan at the start of August.
