The Cranes of Uganda names squad for Ghana showdown

Head Coach of the Ugandan National team, Moses Basena has named a strong squad for the penultimate world cup qualifier against Ghana in Kampala on October 7th.

The Cranes named a 33 man squad which will be trimmed before the game. The list includes experience goalkeeper Dennis Onyango and Farouk Miya, who is one of the longest serving member of the team.

Former Asante Kotoko left back Joseph Ochaya and Geoffrey Kizito were also included ahead of the big game.

The Cranes have a chance of appearance at a first ever world cup as they lie second behind the Pharoah’s of Egypt with seve points, just two adrift of the leaders.
