The Crazy Amount You Would Have Won if You'd Bet £5 on Leicester, Brexit and Trump

Published on: 08 November 2016

Life as we know it is probably over. As most of you may know, Donald Trump is now the President of the United States of America.

Well that shouldn't be much of a surprise given the crazy 2016 we've had. Looking back at the shocking events which have unfolded, one would be easily convinced that the world could be coming to an end.

Firstly, there was Leicester City winning the Premier Leaguetitle, then came Brexit, and now this. Could anyone have seen it coming? Well not quite, as whoever it is would have been a millionaire today.

That's right, a simple punt of £5 would have made you very, very rich. If you'd put that amount on Trump winning Tuesday's Presidential elections on Tuesday night, you would have walked away with around £20, but going way back, when this horror show started, the odds were at 150/1.

If you'd put the very samesum on Great Britain leaving the European Union back in June, you would earn yourself £45. Also, a bet of £5 would have made you a cool £25,000 if you had placed it on Leicester winning the title.

But a bet on all three? Well, the bookies at Coral have worked it out, and guess what. Anyone who had put £5 on Leicester, Brexit and Trump would have won £15m.

Unfortunately, no one's that lucky, well except for Trump himself.

A hypothetical £5 treble on Leicester, Brexit and Trump would have paid out over £15m. #ElectionNight pic.twitter.com/MGHNntq4AR

Leicester (pre season) - 5000/1
Brexit (day of vote) - 3/1
Trump (when first announced) - 150/1

£5 would return over £15 mil. #USElection

@Coral had Leicester/Brexit/Clinton. 😤
