Asante Kotoko assistant coach David Ocloo says his outfit will soon overcome their goalscoring woes in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors has been wasteful in front of goal in the ongoing domestic top-flight campaign but Ocloo is confident his outfit will start utilizing their chances in games.

Kotoko are back to winning ways after ending their three games losing streak against the Yellow and Mauves.

Before locking horns with Medeama, the Ghanaian giants had suffered three consecutive defeats in the domestic top-flight.

But on Sunday, Kotoko ensured they are back to winning ways with a 1-0 win over Medeama at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The first half of the game ended in a pulsating goalless draw, as both teams struggled to find the back of the net in thrilling encounter.

The record Ghana Premier League holders broke the deadlock in the 60th minute mark through Sheriff Mohammed, who converted from the spot.

And with no additional goal, the Ghanaian giants cruised to victory to merit the three maximum points at stake.

“It’s unfortunate we couldn’t kill the game in the first 15 minutes of the game but it’s a process, gradually the goals will come. During matches, when you are a goal up, the opponent has that extra energy to push and that’s what happened but we were able to manage the game and we came out victorious” he said.

Kotoko are now out of the relegation zone following their triumph over the defending champions.

With 13 points, the Porcupine Warriors are 12th on the Ghana Premier League with 13 points.
