The many injuries are giving Jeremy Doku a tough time; it’s mentally difficult for him – Stade Rennais manager reveals

The manager of Stade Rennais FC, Bruno Génésio has disclosed that youngster Jeremy Doku is struggling mentally following his many injuries.

In the past year, the youngster who is of Ghanaian descent has battled several injury setbacks which have seen him miss a number of matches for his club and country.

This month, the forward has suffered another injury and was not in the Stade Rennais FC squad that defeated FC Nantes 3-0 in the French Ligue 1 over the weekend.

Speaking to the press in France, his manager Bruno Génésio has disclosed that Jeremy Doku is having a difficult time.

"Mentally it's very difficult for him. He's still on treatment and recovering. He's gotten into a vicious circle. He gets injured, comes back, gets played time, then gets injured again and has to start from 0,” the Stade Rennais FC gaffer said.

Ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Jeremy Doku hopes his latest injury will not be very serious to ensure he recovers in time to fight for a place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
