The voucher given to me was very disrespectful - Abednego Tetteh

Abednego Tetteh, the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League's top goal scorer, has voiced his profound disappointment at the seemingly disrespectful gesture of a 5000 cedis voucher.

Comparing this token to the lavish rewards bestowed upon the league's best player, Tetteh's discontent has now escalated to the point where he has vowed to sever ties with the Ghanaian league entirely.

"What really hurt me more was the Awards Night Saturday we did an awards the top scorer of the division won the goal king, the top scorer of the FA was the best player, the women's league too the top scorer was the best player, keeper with the most saves was the best goalkeeper, the coach who won the league was the best coach," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"But when it came to the Premiership we gave the best player to someone who scored 11 goals nine penalties their reason is he has won the league I don't have a problem.

"You gave the best player 20,000 cedis and the top scorer if you are giving me an award voucher 5000 cedis to go to dental hospital for how long and I said that no this is very disrespectful to me that is what worried me and I said I wont play for any Ghanaian team again,"
