Heart of Lions head coach, Bashir Hayford, has blamed windy conditions for his team’s 2-0 loss to Great Olympics on Saturday.

In the Matchday 19 games, the Kpando-based side was hosted at the WAFA Park by the Wonder Club.

However, Yusif Abdul Razak's brace was enough as the two-time Ghana Premier League recorded three points.

Speaking after the game, Hayford blamed the natural elements for the loss in the post-game interview.

“The performance wasn’t bad only that I told you from the beginning that the only disadvantage is the wind. It is very difficult to play against the wind and even for the wind," he said.

"In the second goal, it (the ball) bounced and changed position. It’s difficult but I think the boys have done very well…we played very well," he added.

Heart of Lions now sit 16th on the league log with 18 points and will host Real Tamale United in the Matchday 20 games at the Kpando Stadium.
