Former Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott says there are expectations for Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana at new club Southampton.
The 21-year-old switched to the Premier League relegation fighters in the January transfer window from Stade Rennais in the French Ligue 1.
Lescot, a two-time Premier League winner, disclosed there are different expectations of Kamaldeen from the club, fans, and himself.
He hopes that the former Nordsjaelland star can excel with the South Coast club.
“It is tough [playing for a club battling relegation]," he told Joy Sports.
"There’ll be an expectation, but I’m sure the expectation the club and everyone else puts on him won’t be the same as he puts on himself.
"I’m sure he expects and hopes to do well, so hopefully that’s the case for him,” Lescott explained.
