PSG centre-back Thiago Silva could reunite with former club teammate David Luiz at Chelsea, according to his agent.

The Brazilian pair enjoyed great success together with the French giants, winning Ligue 1 twice, as well as winning the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue twice each.Silva has been at PSG since transferring from AC Milan in 2012.

The pair have also played alongside one another for the Brazil national team on a number of occasions.

Luiz left the Parc des Princesthis summer to rejoin Premier League side Chelsea, and with John Terry in the twilight of his career and Gary Cahill currently suffering someindifferent form, Luiz' compatriot Silva has been linked with a move to England.

The player's agent, Paolo Tonietto, told Sports Witnessthat a potential transfer could happen.

Chelsea are a big club. And the English league is the best in the world, Tonietto stated.

When asked whether Luiz's presence at Chelsea could help Silva with the transfer, Tonietto said: I don't know about this, I know they're great friends.

We're not negotiating a new contract, let's see what happens before December. Thiago's deal ends on June 30th 2017 if PSG don't qualify for the Champions League. Everything is possible in football.

Given that PSG are near certainties to qualify for next season's Champions League, Silva could staywith the Ligue 1 champions until the end of the 2017-18 season, but PSG might decide tocash in on the central defender instead.

PSG have endured a unconvincing start to the season, currently sitting in third place after eight games, four points behind leaders Nice.
