Thierry Henry Reveals the Former Teammate of His Who Marcus Rashford Most Reminds Him of

Published on: 18 November 2016

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has heaped some high praise on Manchester United starlet Marcus Rashford.

The 19-year-old emerged asa first-team regular under Jose Mourinho this season, despite going on a bit of a goal drought. He broke out last term, having gotten his opportunity late on, and is now in the England fold as well.

Henry, one of Arsenal's greatest ever players, also made his name in Spain with Barcelona, playing alongside the likes of Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi and Patrick Kluivert. The Frenchman has compared Rashford to Kluivert, claiming that the youngster reminds him of his ex-teammate.

"He reminds me of a young Kluivert on the pitch. He's certainly a talent,' Henry said onSky Sports, speaking after he heard that Rashford would be captaining United against Arsenal with Wayne Rooney set for the bench.

Kluivert, now retired, scored close to 200 goals during his career, and was Holland's all-time top scorer for 10 years before his tally was topped by Robin van Persie.

This is indeed a glowing review from Henry on Rashford, and it's quite likely that the young England international will go on to become a United legend one day. Some fans, however, felt that it was too soon.
