“This is where the stars are made from” – Ernest Nuamah urges Ghanaians to support the Ghana Premier League

Black Stars winger Ernest Nuamah Appiah, who currently plies his trade for Olympic Lyon in France, has urged Ghanaians to support the Ghana Premier League.

The domestic top-flight will commence across the various league centres this weekend, where18 clubs will battle it out for the covetous trophy.

Last season, there were low turnout at the various stadia in the Ghana Premier League.

However, the Ghana FA leader Kurt Okraku in a recent interview reiterated desire to help resolve low patronage of the Ghanaian top-flight in the upcoming campaign.

By so doing, the Ghana FA has decided to use Black Stars players to lure fans to the various stadia.

In a video posted on the Ghana Football Association's social media pages, Nuamah alongside West Ham United midfielder, Mohammed Kudus called on Ghanaians support the domestic top-flight.

“The Ghana Premier League is coming on, let’s support our own.

“This is where the stars are made from.” Ernest Nuamah told the Ghana FA media.

Nuamah’s endorsement of the Ghana Premier League is seen as a boost for the domestic competition, which has struggled to attract significant attention in recent years.

The former FC Nordjaelland star scored twice for the Black Stars during the September international break.
