Ghanaian midfielder, Thomas Partey, has informed Atletico Madrid to let him go to Arsenal this summer according to reports.
The 27-year-old has already agreed a four-year deal with Arsenal and aims to feature for the Gunners in the upcoming campaign.
Atletico, however, are standing firm on their 50 million release clause, a move they are making to try and keep the player. Partey has informed Atletico of his intentions to leave.
It has been reported that Arsenal intends on triggering that clause at the end of August or at the beginning of September.
The former Almeria loanee made over 40 appearances for Los Rojiblancos last season in all competitions.
