Thomas Partey to join new Arsenal teammates on Wednesday

Thomas Partey will team up with his new Arsenal teammates on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old midfielder joined the Gunners from Atletico on transfer deadline day after his £45m buyout clause was activated.

Following the completion of the deal, Partey teamed up with his national team side, Ghana for their two friendlies against Mali and Qatar staged in Antalya in Turkey.

Partey was instrumental for the West African side as Ghana lost 3:0  to Mali but bounced back with an emphatic 5:1 victory over Qatar.

The midfielder has left Turkey and will arrive in the UK this afternoon but will team up with his Arsenal teammates on Wednesday.

Partey signed a five year deal with the Gunners and will pocket 250,000 pounds a week.

It is unknown if he will feature against Manchester City this weekend.

The 27-year-old had an impressive spell under manager Diego Simeone, winning the Uefa Europa League in the 2017/18 season as well as the Uefa Super Cup in 2018.
