Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has revealed that Thomas Partey will return to the squad for their Premier League game against Sheffield United tonight.

The Ghana international has been out since October last year with a hamstring injury.

Partey picked up the injury ahead of their Champions League game against Sevilla. However, after recovery, the 30-year-old suffered a setback in January.

Speaking ahead of the game at Bramall Lane, Arteta noted Partey’s involvement in training sessions as proof of the former Atletico Madrid player’s return to action for The Gunners.

“Thomas had a session before the last game and now he’s done two consecutive sessions so he should be part of the squad on Monday.”

The Gunners have registered high-scoring wins in three straight games heading into the Sheffield game; Arsenal beat West Ham 6-0, Burnley 5-0 and Newcastle United respectively.

Arsenal has been in fine goal-scoring form as the London side continues to push for its first Premier League title win in 21 years mainly without Partey who has played just four times this season.

Partey, who has made just four appearances of the Gunners was forced to miss the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Ivory Coast.
