Thomas Partey's Atlético Madrid to kick off 2018/19 La Liga season against Valencia

Thomas Partey's Atletico Madrid will begin their Spanish La Liga campaign against Valencia next season, on August 18th. 

The UEFA Europa League winners will travel to the Mestalla before welcoming newly promoted side Rayo Vallecano in the second week at the Wanda Metropolitano.

The Rojiblancos will be involved in their first derby against Real Madrid of the season on matchday seven (weekend of 29 September), when we travel to the Santiago Bernabéu.

They will host Real Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano on the weekend of 9 February for matchday 23.

Meanwhile, they will face Champions FC Barcelona will take place on matchday 13 (weekend of 24 November) at the Wanda Metropolitano and on the weekend of 6 April for matchday 31 at the Camp Nou.

The second half of the season will start on the weekend of 19 January, as we travel to face LaLiga newcomers Huesca.

Lastly, our final match of the 2018/19 La Liga season will be on the weekend of 18 May in Ciutat de Valencia against Levante.

Thomas Partey was a key member of the team last season, playing 33 games and scoring five goals in the La Liga.

Elsewhere, the clashes between arch rivals, Barcelona and Real Madrid, will take place on October 28 at the Camp Nou and on March 3, 2019, but the matches will experience the absence of the rivalry between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
