Thomas Partey's camp working with Arsenal for potential summer departure

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey and his camp are working with Arsenal regarding possible departure strategies for the player this summer transfer window, The Athletic has reported.

Clubs in the Saudi Arabian league have expressed interest in acquiring the services of the 30-year-old, and should a suitable opportunity for a sale arise, the Gunners will carefully consider their options.

It is important to note that the situation is not progressing rapidly at this stage, per The Athletic.

However, if Partey, who is under contract until 2025, were to depart from the Emirates, Arsenal would need to find a suitable replacement, in addition to their pursuit of Declan Rice.

Thomas Partey joined Arsenal in October 2020 from Atletico Madrid, following the activation of his €50 million (£45.4 million) release clause.

During the previous season, the Ghana international showcased his abilities, scoring three goals in 33 Premier League appearances for Arsenal, contributing to the team's commendable second-place finish behind Manchester City.
