Ticket prices for Tottenham Juventus friendly lowered due to fan backlash

Ticket prices for Tottenham's friendly with Juventus have been slashed following criticism from the club's fans.

Spurs supporters were outraged when they found out tickets for the clash, which will be played Wembley on August 5, could cost them £45 for an average seat.

The company who is organising the event and setting the ticket prices, Relevent Sports, has now reneged on their original pricing, according to a statement released by Tottenham.

The statement read: "In order to generate the best atmosphere possible inside the stadium and create a true fan-friendly experience, Relevent Sports has repriced a number of tickets in the lower bowl of the stadium.

"This means even more tickets have been made available to purchase for this fixture at £24, £35 and £45 – with a large quantity of seats located along the side of the pitch having been reduced by £27 to £45, while anyone under the age of 18 can now buy a seat in these same areas for just £14."
