Togbe Afede bankroller for Accra Hearts of Oak has backed underfire management members Vincent Sowah Odotei and Alhaji Akanbi during the unveiling of new coach Matic.

Supporters of the club have blamed the two management members for the club's poor start to the 2022/23 football campaign.

They have urged Togbe Afede to sack the duo and appoint competent people to manage the affairs of the club.

Togbe Afede reacting to the calls said that the Odotei and Akanbi are very hard working and they played a key role in the success of 2021/2022 football season.

“I can say without any doubt that the likes of Akanbi and Odotei are very rare. When it comes to ensuring value for money, I have not seen anybody like Akanbi and Odotei. Sometimes I am amazed about the level of commitment of these people and trust me the successes of 2021/2022 on the pitch, what we are doing at Pobiman, the commercial center, supporters liaison office, and the new head office building would never have been possible without the dedication of these people," he said on Peace FM as monitored by footballghana.com

"That needs to be told enough on certain terms. Why would someone think I am investing so much and use the wrong people? If I can't trust them they won't be part of what we are doing. If they are not hard working we will not have achieved what we have achieved,”
