Togbe Afede XIV to construct 5000 capacity stadium at Pobiman - Reports

Majority shareholder of Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV has pledged to construct a 5000 capacity stadium at Pobiman for the club.

The Phobians have dominated the local media before and after their win over Asante Kotoko in their matchday 31 title decider fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium.

A Daniel Afriyie Barnieh lone goal was enough for the home side to grab all the three points to stretch their lead on the league log.

And a report filed by Kumasi based Pure FM says Togbe Afede will construct a 5000 seater stadium at Pobiman with an official announcement imminent.

According to the reports, the Phobians will be training and staging their home matches at the stadium if it is approved.

Hearts of Oak in no time will be moving to Pobiman where players and officials will be housed.

The Pobiman project has been under construction since 2019.

The second phase of the project is currently under construction and expected to be completed soon.

The Ultra Modern Training Complex, when completed, will be housed with Staff Residence, Senior Housing Unit, GYM, Training Centers (Pitches), Laundry, Swimming Pool, Lockers, Toilet Facilities, Kitchen and Dining Hall.

Meanwhile, the Phobians are on course to win the Ghana Premier League for the first time in 12 years.

Heart of Oak sit on top of the league log with 59 points and will be hosted by Ebusua Dwarfs in the matchday 32 games at the Cape Coast Stadium this weekend.
