Tony Pulis Praises West Brom's 'Stability' After 3-1 Win Over Swansea

Published on: 14 December 2016

Tony Pulis was delighted to see his West Brom side climb back up to seventh in the Premier League table after Salomon Rondon's hat-trick of headers against Swansea - but insisted that 'nobody's getting carried away' with their current position.

Wayne Routledge scored a consolation goal for Swansea, but it was of little consequence to Pulis's side, for whom Rondon was an irrepressible target man.

"We're obviously delighted for Salomon, delighted for the team and the supporters," Pulls told Sky Sports."It was always going to be a tough game tonight, we've had to make changes to the back four, haven't had to do that in a while."

"I know Salomon will get the headlines and all of that but it's all about everybody working hard."

"We've got such a tough week having had Chelsea on Sunday, they (Swansea) have had twenty four hours' more rest than us and now we've got Man United on Saturday so this was an important game for us."

West Brom were uninspired in the first-half and allowed Swansea the better chances, but looked much more invigorated in the second.

"We were a bit flat. You play games during the season when the team is flat, and they're games you have to grind out at times."

"We're absolutely delighted about where we are, but nobody's getting carried away. It's been great getting to sign a new contract with the owners and there's a little bit of stability here."

"We've got to get those points first, that's the priority."
