Top Ethiopian referee Bamlak Wayesa to handle Ghana-Cameroon clash

Top Ethiopian referee Bamlak Tessema Weyesa is set to officiate Ghana’s second group F clash against Cameroon on Saturday, June 29, 2019.

The Black Stars and the Indomitable Lions will battle for three points when they meet in their second match of the ongoing 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament

Having drawn their first match of the tournament, Ghana is hoping to brush aside their Cameroonian counterpart in order to revive their campaign at the continental showpiece as they bid to win a 5th title after failing to do so in 37 years.

Ahead of the cracking fixture, the organizing committee of the tournament has selected 38-year old referee Bamlak Tessema Weyesa to run the affairs of the match as far as officiating is concerned.

He will be assisted by Mohammed Abdullah Ibrahim from Sudan and Gilbert Kipkoech Cheruiyot from Kenya.

The fourth official for the match is Mustapha Ghorbal from Algeria whiles Manuel Irenio Lopes Nascimento from Guinea Bissau will be playing the role of the match commissioner.

Titus Haimbili Kunamuene from Namibia will also be acting in the capacity as the General Coordinator for the game

The match is scheduled to kick off at 1900hrs local time (5:00 pm GMT).
