Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah has saluted the country’s Sports Minister Hon. Isaac Asiamah for his tremendous support for the Black Stars in the Africa Cup of Nations campaign.

To Kwasi Appiah, the gesture of the Sports Minister has not inky surprised him but has motivated his team to go for the trophy.

The Sports Minister has been with the Black Stars since the start of the tournament and despite ensuring that all logistics are underway to ensure the team’s success, his presence has been a huge motivation for the team.

And Kwasi Appiah has saluted him for his amazing support for the team.

“The Sports Minister’s presence is a big motivation for us and I was surprised when I heard he was still around yesterday.

“And I know that is a big motivation for us,” he said.

Hon. Asiamah’s reign has seen Ghanaian throwing their weight behind the national team after years of neglect.

His implementation of policies outlined by the 2014 Presidential Commission of Inquiry has seen him organise supporters into a single body to throw their weight behind the team.

Ghana started the tournament with a few fans in the stands to support the team but that saw a massive leap in the last two games of the team.

Determined to see Ghana end the 37-year old trophy drought, Hon. Asiamah has pledged to provide the team with all logistics to see the team lift the trophy and his presence is obviously a huge factor.
